Load a CAD File You don't have to load a CAD file in order to plot out the program, but you may have already made a CAD file of the part in some CAD/CAM software, so it's easier to see where you are cutting the part if you have one. Inplot is able to load simple CADL, DXF, and IGES files that are output by most CAD/CAM software. Inplot also has drawing tools that can be used to draw your own part or make changes in existing files. In the File menu, go to Plot Window - Load CAD
Find the CAD file you want to load. You can filter on the various types.
When a CAD file is loaded it is automatically fitted to the window size.
Moving around the CAD window. You can zoom up on any area of the plot window by picking the Zoom button (or on the menu) and dragging a rectangle around the area.
You can also can zoom to all, zoom last, zoom half, pan. In Milling format, the CAD file can be viewed from any side.
