Pick Buttons

 

 

 

 

These buttons allow you to selectively pick points on the CAD drawing with the cross cursor. All the names on the buttons are in lower case letters except the button that is activated, which changes to upper case letters.

END

Picks the endpoint of a line or arc. Click the mouse on the end of the element closest to the endpoint you want.

MID

Picks the midpoint of the line or arc.

CEN

Picks the center of an arc.

INT

Picks the intersection of two lines or two arcs or a line and arc. Click on the element near the intersection so it will be able to choose the right point if there is more than one intersection.

CUR

Get the coordinates of the cursor location.

PNT

Allows you to pick Point elements on the CAD drawing.

KEY

Opens the Key In Dialog Box for entering X,Y,Z coordinates.

WIN

Use mouse to make window around several elements. Not used for picking a point but used for selecting multiple elements to put in a Group

CLO

Picks closest point on an line or arc to where you click with the cursor.

Pick Tolerance: You can change the pick tolerance setting in the machine INI file. The setting is in pixels. If it is set too low, you will have to right on top of the line or arc when you pick it. This will not be good since Inplot wants to know which side of the line you pick. If it is set too high you may end up picking a line that you did not intend to. Change the setting in the machine INI file PickTolerance=6 to something else.
