Configure: Machine

Machine Name
The name of the machine file is shown on the main File menu and on the status bar.
System Type
Set to Lathe for 2-Axis X and Z. Set to Mill for 3-Axis X,Y,Z
Lathe X-Axis
When Radius is checked, the ''X" dimensions in the NC file and from dialog boxes are interpreted as radius value.
When this menu item is checked, the ''X" dimensions in the NC file and from dialog boxes are interpreted as diameter value.
The CAM Insert buttons will insert values adjusted to this setting.
The dimensions in the CAD files that are loaded are always interpreted as radius values.
This does not affect Mill plotting.
Home XYZ
The home position of machine when G28 is activated. This is used for time calculations.
Lathe Orientation
This feature is for switching the displayed plotting and part so it will be shown as it would appear on a vertical lathe.
When System Type is set for Lathe, choose Horizontal for a horizontal style lathe, or Vertical for a vertical style lathe.
All CAD files must be created as they would appear on a horizontal machine. Inplot can automatically display it as it would appear on a vertical machine.
Twin Turrets
Activates twin turret lathe features. Side by side editors appear. Requires Code Format to be set to either Okuma or Fanuc. If Code Format is set to Okuma, will load an Okuma twin turret file with G13 and G14 and into the separate editors. If Code Format is set to Fanuc you must load two separate files into the two side by side editors. Then 'Sync Turrets' will line up the turret synchronization codes in both editors. See Twin Turrets .
Not to be confused with "Twin Editors" setting on Editor tab. Don't have them both on at the same time.
Max Arc Error
When plotting arcs, Inplot will display an error if the end point does not match up with the radius within this amount. Maximum allowed is 0.0031. Minimum is 0.0001.
