Activation
After installed, you will need to Activate. Enter the Order Reference Number that is shown on all your email receipts and press the Activate button.
You can run Gage Control for up to 30 times before registering it, but after that it wont run anymore without being registered.
When you purchase Gage Control over the Internet, you will receive a Registration Code or Activation key that will turn your trial version of Gage Control into a permanently registered version.
You can get to the Registration window from the Settings tab menu - Registration.

There is a way to set the security so it will automatically login.
In order for it to be accepted, the directory where the license file will be created needs to writable. This is in the public documents folder.
In WindowsXP this is: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\i-Logic\GageControl\.
In Windows Vista and newer this is: c:\users\Public\Documents\i-Logic\GageControl\
The registration code is not tied to the one computer, so you can move it over to a different computer using the same registration Code.
There are already a few items in the database when you first install as an example. If you want to get rid of these, highlight them all in the Find Gage page and click the Delete Row button.
Uninstalling
If you want to save your current settings for backup or if moving to a different computer, save all the .ini files that are in the same public folder.
You can uninstall either by choosing the uninstall link in the start menu under i-Logic, or uninstall by the Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs.
Running on a Remote Server
In order to have the program on a remote server where multiple users can use it at the same time, you will have to make some adjustments. The main thing is that when Gage Control starts up, it first looks in the local shared documents folder (which is created on installation) for the configuration and license files, and if that directory does not exist, then it looks in the current directory that the executable is in. So, if you want everyone to use the same configuration files then remove the user data folder and put all the files where the executable is. If you want everyone to have there own configuration, then make sure the configuration files are in the user files directory on the local computer.
The current user data path is shown in Settings.
32 and 64-bit versions
The 32-bit version of Gage Control uses the Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 driver.
Versions of Jet are contained in all editions of Microsoft Windows and are used by 32-bit applications to connect to Access databases contained in *.mdb files.
If you need to install this on your computer you can download the driver from here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239114
Gage Control also comes in a 64-bit version. This version uses the 64-bit version of Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 driver which is installed on 64-bit systems if you have already installed a 64-bit version of Microsoft Office. Otherwise, the 64-bit Access driver can be obtained here:
