Tools

Inplot uses CAD drawings of tools for display along with the tool path. These files must be in the CADL format.

Draw the tool with lines and arcs in full scale in any CAD system that can export a CADL file.

Save the CAD file. The filename is the name of the tool and the file extension must be '.CDL'

Tools are loaded for plotting either by a comment code command in the program or from choosing in the Load Tool dialog box.

Milling tools are only round diameters. See Comment Code TM for mill tools and Comment Code TL for lathe tools.

You could also load a milling tool with the Load Tool dialog box by typing into the Filename box, like, TM .5

Optionally, you can add an area on the tool that will cut away a Solids picture.
